The Painted Horse Foundation brings community, compassion, and practical support to families experiencing pregnancy, infant, and child loss.
The loss of a child is one of life’s most profound heartbreaks. During these moments, families should be surrounded by compassion—not overwhelmed by financial strain or navigating grief alone. The Painted Horse Foundation exists to provide financial assistance, compassionate community support, and trusted grief resources to families during their most difficult days.
Why The Painted Horse Foundation Exists
The Painted Horse Foundation was created by a family who experienced the loss of their daughter, Lucy, only days after her birth. In the midst of unimaginable grief, they were surrounded by compassionate medical professionals, generous financial support, and a close community that helped carry them through.
That experience revealed how powerful community care can be—and how vital it is for families navigating the loss of a child.
Today, the foundation exists to extend that same compassion and support to other families during their most difficult moments.

No Family Should Walk Through Loss Alone
In the midst of loss, the presence of a compassionate community can make all the difference. The Painted Horse Foundation brings people together to support families experiencing pregnancy, infant, and child loss through acts of generosity, kindness, and shared humanity.
Every act of generosity helps provide support and compassion to families facing the unimaginable.
The Painted Horse Foundation is a separate charitable organization, but our roots are at Painted Horse Winery & Vineyards — the family farm winery in Milton, Georgia, where Lucy's grandparents, Pamela and David Borgel, have spent years building a community around wine, agriculture, and gathering together. That community showed up for our family when we needed it most. The foundation is how we're turning that support into something lasting.
Every bottle of Lucy Goosey wine sold at Painted Horse Winery & Vineyards sends 100% of its profits directly to The Painted Horse Foundation.
The first release — Lucy Goosey Rosé — is available now in the tasting room. It's a blended rosé with notes of apple, pear, and citrus, made by Painted Horse winemaker Robert with Lucy's memory in every bottle.
To purchase Lucy Goosey Rosé, visit Painted Horse Winery & Vineyards at 13762 Hopewell Road, Milton, GA 30004 or at thepaintedhorsewinery.com.
