In October of 2025, our family lost our daughter, granddaughter, and niece, Lucy, only days after she was born. The Painted Horse Foundation grew out of that loss — and out of the community that carried us through it.
This October marks Lucy's first birthday and the foundation's first year, and we're honoring both with the first-ever Lucy Ford Week, running October 19 through 24, 2026.
Every event during the week raises money for The Painted Horse Foundation, which provides financial assistance, community support, and grief resources to families experiencing pregnancy, infant, and child loss.
Lucy Ford Week Events
The Lucy Ford Benefit Dinner, Tuesday October 20th
The most intimate night of the week, our benefit dinner begins with welcome champagne, followed by four courses, each paired with a Painted Horse wine, with a silent auction throughout. Seating is at shared tables of 6, 8, and 12, so you'll spend the evening alongside others who came for the same reason you did.
It's $185 per person, and every dollar supports families facing pregnancy, infant, and child loss.
Lucy Ford Jackson Memorial 5k Saturday, October 24th
Join us for the first annual Lucy Ford Jackson Memorial 5K on Saturday, October 24th in Milton, Georgia. This is a run/walk event — runners and walkers of all paces are welcome. Every participant receives a race T-shirt, water, and snacks at the finish line, and a coupon for one glass of wine or one beer at Painted Horse Winery & Vineyards. Age group awards and medals will be announced and presented at Painted Horse Winery & Vineyards following the race.
Volunteers Needed - Lucy Ford Jackson Memorial 5k
